Theo’s continued transformation

Those of you that our plugged into our team and in our Challenge Groups definitely know who Theo is.  He is our MVP and in my opinion has the most inspiring transformation in all Team Determination history.  Anytime someone says I’m too big, p90x is too advanced,  or I don’t have time, I now just send them a pic of Theo and say “I would like for you to meet Theo.  Your excuses don’t cut it on this team” LOL.

I think that’s what impresses me most about Theo.  I have been helping him for a year now and he has never given me an excuse or complained about anything.  He doesn’t complain about the fat shredder diet.  He doesn’t complain about finding time to workout.  He doesn’t complain about how hard it is to eat healthy.  He just puts his head down, eats right, drinks his Shakeology, kills his workouts and does what needs to be done.  I love that about Theo!

So are you wondering how he has done?  Well I got this pic and a message from him yesterday saying that in 1 year he has lost 109 lbs!!!!!!! Not only that but Theo is now a coach like me and paying it forward helping others transform their lives like Theo and I have done.  Talk about amazing!  Thanks for inspiring not only me but all of Determination Nation!

Here is Theo’s story in his own words:

“I was overweight my whole life and didn’t feel the need to work out even when I hit my biggest weight at 360 lbs and was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes being told that if I didn’t lose weight that I could lose my feet or die, none of that for some reason seemed to make me want to change.

It wasn’t until I looked at my younger brother who was always the skinny one in the family start to gain a lot of weight. That made me think of how horrible it felt to be diabetic and have others ridicule you especially in high school where kids can be harsh. I didn’t want my brother to go through that and I knew the only way he would make a change is if I made the change also. So I begged my mom to scrape some money together and get P90X because we can’t continue to live the way we’ve been living and ever since my brother and I got it we’ve been working hard and eating healthy non stop.

I have lost 60 lbs to date but my brother works harder than I do for sure because he’s in 8th grade and I know it must be hard seeing every kid around you eating pizza and fried chicken not having to care about their nutrition, but he’s stuck with and has gone from 250 lbs to 218, I’m so proud of him and the best part is we are going on this journey together.

I’m far from reaching my goal but I’m proud of what I have accomplished so far and now I feel proud to look at myself in the mirror everyday. P90X for life and soon after Insanity will be next.  I will continue to bring it!
